About Us

David Ahrens of Ahrens Arbor Care has always been passionate about our natural resources, especially trees!

He started on the forestry CDE team in high school at Martin County West, then continued his education at South Dakota State University where he majored in wildlife and fisheries sciences and emphasized in forestry.

At SDSU, he gained fundamental knowledge and experience about modern arboriculture and best management practices for our modern-day trees and shrubs. This carried him to a position as an Arborist with the city of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Urban Forestry.

In Cheyenne, David became an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certified arborist and received excellent training and experience from longtime skilled arborists.

David then decided to move back home, to Minnesota, and create an opportunity to share his experience, skill and knowledge with his local communities.

Serving Southern Minnesota, based in the Windom and St. James area.
